STAMFORD, CT — A 68-year-old Stamford man was killed on Sunday after the motorcycle he was driving collided with two other cars on Newfield Avenue, Stamford police said.

At approximately 12:22 p.m., a 150cc small motorcycle driven by the man was traveling southbound on Newfield Avenue just south of North Meadows Lane when it crossed into the northbound lane and hit a white four-door sedan, and then another car, according to police.

The collision with the first car caused the man to be thrown off of the motorcycle, police said, and the motorcycle then continued traveling southbound until coming to final rest just off of the roadway on the northbound side of the road.

But the man was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS. The name of the man has not been released; next of kin has been notified, but they will need to notify additional family, police said.
