Motorcyclists Seriously Hurt In Separate Stamford Crashes: Report

The crashes were on Monday and Tuesday, according to authorities.

STAMFORD, CT — A pair of separate crashes in Stamford involving motorcycles Monday and Tuesday left both riders seriously injured and police investigating, writes the Stamford Advocate.

Monday afternoon's crash occurred on East Main Street and left a 22-year-old motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries. A 44-year-old van driver suffered minor injuries in the crash, which occurred when he turned left on East Main onto Quintard Terrace and collided with the motorcyclist.

The Tuesday afternoon crash led to the temporary closure of High Ridge Road at the intersection with Oaklawn Avenue. The road has since been reopened.

A 24-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured when he collided with a car that was turning onto Oaklawn. Police said a 58-year-old driver was involved. Pediatric Registered Nurse BSN Elizabeth Tillet, who was on a school bus and witnessed the crash, helped to stabilize the rider's spine until paramedics arrived, she told Patch.
