Naked Woman Goes on Rampage Inside Stamford Church: PD

Police believe she was under the influence of some type of narcotic.

STAMFORD, CT — A naked woman was arrested after she entered a church in search of a bomb, according to police.

The woman broke into Saint Clement of Rome around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Two witnesses told police that a naked female smashed the side window to gain entry to the chapel, police said. Celina Kelly, 32, was found destroying items inside with a fire extinguisher.

The resident priest confronted her in the basement as she kicked the door to the resident area.

Kelly was placed under arrest without further incident.

"She was obviously under the influence of some type of narcotic and admitted to smoking marijuana laced with a chemical shortly before going on her rampage," police said in a statement.

She was taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment and was charged with burglary and criminal mischief in the second degree.
