National Faith & Blue Events Scheduled This Weekend In Stamford

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department is collaborating with local faith-based organizations to offer National Faith & Blue events this weekend.

According to the Faith & Blue website, the initiative was launched across the country in 2020 to facilitate safer, stronger, more just and unified communities by directly enabling local partnerships among law enforcement professionals, residents, businesses and community groups through the connections of local faith-based organizations. The goal is to build bridges and break biases.

This is the first time Stamford is participating.

• On Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m., the community is invited to participate in a sunset unity walk in Scalzi Park.
• On Oct. 8 at 12 p.m., a picnic will be held at Bethel AME Church at 150 Fairfield Ave.
• On Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m., the SPD will hold a meet and greet at Stamford Police Headquarters, 725 Bedford St.
