National Kids to Parks Day Free Event Rescheduled

Stamford Recreation has rescheduled their free community event, Kids to Parks Day, to Saturday, June 2 due to the rainy forecast.

STAMFORD, CT - Stamford Recreation Services has rescheduled their free community event, Kids to Parks Day, to Saturday, June 2 due to the rainy forecast scheduled for this weekend. The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, May 19 in conjunction with the 8th annual Kids to Parks Day (KTP Day) organized by the National Park Trust.

Residents are invited to join the Kids to Parks nationwide movement for an afternoon of fun at Scalzi Park on the new date:

When: Saturday, June 2 from 11AM-2PM
Where: Scalzi Park
Cost: FREE

Children ages 2-14 can enjoy enjoy bounce houses, obstacle courses, Kids Zumba and Yoga by Bodywise by Betty, healthy snacks provided by the Stamford Health KIDS’ FANS program and more.

National Park Trust, working with cities and partners across the country, created KPT Day to connect kids and families with their local, state, and national parks. Hundreds of KTP Days are hosted nationwide. Through teaching the next generation to appreciate our public lands, National Park Trust is working to foster future park enthusiasts and create the next generation of park stewards.
