Nearly 1,000 Stamford City Employees Earn $100K+: Report
Almost a third of the city's employees make more than $100,000 annually.

STAMFORD, CT — The percent of city and Board of Education employees earning six figures has dramatically increased in just a few years.
There were 986 out of 3,236 employees that made $100,000 or more last year when just 80 workers made that much in 2010, according to the Stamford Advocate. That figure doesn't include police extra-duty pay. To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.
Lt. Diedrich Hohn was the highest earning at $411,000, which included a retroactive pay raise, overtime and extra-duty wages.
Most of the highest paid employees are police officers due to overtime and extra duty jobs.
