New Brazilian Restaurant Coming to Stamford

Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, a new chain featuring authentic Brazilian cuisine, is reportedly opening a new location at 5 Broad Street.

Stamford certainly has , including plenty of good , Italian and Chinese restaurants, but what about Brazilian?

Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, a new chain featuring authentic Brazilian cuisine, is reportedly opening a new location at 5 Broad Street.

According to a release from Thomas L. Rich, managing partner of 33 Broad Street Associates, the owners have leased a 7,100 square foot, 240-seat space beneath the Stamford Target Store, next to Citibank and the Indigo Hair Salon.

The new restaurant, scheduled to open in January, is reportedly owned by the same people who brought the Melting Pot restaurant to the area: James Layfield, tri state area franchisee for Melting Pot Restaurants, along with Edward Zislis, Renee Torres and Basel Al-Nammari, owners of other Melting Pot locations, reportedly have exclusive franchise rights to Rodizio Grill for Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, according to the release.

The new restaurant joins numerous other popular eateries on the west side of the city, including Napa & Co., Barcelona Wine Bar, Bar Taco and Buffalo Wild Wings.

The full service authentic Brazilian style steak house will feature more than a dozen rotisserie grilled meats, “carved tableside by Brazilian Gauchos,” the release states.
