Obituary: Beatrice H Cooke, 86, Lifelong Stamford Resident
Bea will always be remembered by her contagious laugh, her beautiful smile, and her love for everyone she knew.

Beatrice H. Cooke, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 4, 2023, at Stamford Hospital.
She was born in Stamford on November 4, 1936, to the late Frank Cavaliere and Filomena Pigro Cavaliere. Beatrice was a graduate of Stamford High School, class of 1954.

She worked for the Southern New England Telephone company where she met the love of her life, George Cooke. They were married in September of 1957.
While raising her family, Bea worked nights in the banking industry. In January 1975, she opened her business, Busy Bea Decorating. “Busy Bea” decorated many homes and businesses throughout her career.

She loved to play golf and was a member of the women’s golf club.
Bea will always be remembered by her contagious laugh, her beautiful smile, and her love for everyone she knew. Her family and her faith were the center of her universe.
Bea was predeceased by her husband, George. Bea is survived by her loving children, Kevin Cooke (Kim), Sean Cooke, and Karen Christensen (Paul). Her grandchildren, Brett Christensen (Kelly), Heather Quinn (Jack), Julia Sciarretta (Michael), Matt Christensen, Michelle Cooke, Kellie Cooke, and Tyler Cooke. Her great grandchildren; Riley, Rowan, Fallyn, Casey and Brooks. She is also survived by her siblings, Theresa Savitz (Donald), Dominick Cavaliere (Lois), her sister-in-law Barbara Cavaliere, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bea also is survived by her friend Michael Garvey.
Besides her parents and husband, Bea was predeceased by her siblings, Frank Cavaliere (Carmella), Carmela Portanova (Anthony), Carlo Cavaliere, and her niece Terri Lynn Savitz.
The family would like to thank the staff at Stamford Hospital, Edge Hill, and all the doctors that managed Bea’s care over the last few years.
There will be no calling hours. There will be a funeral mass at the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford on Monday, September 11 at 10:30 AM. A burial will immediately follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 124 Rock Rimmon Rd, Stamford.
