Obituary: Bimla Rani Malhotra, 83, Longtime Stamford Resident

Bimla Rani Malhotra, 83, a longtime resident of Stamford passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday July 29, 2023. Bimla was born on June 7, 1940, in India, daughter of the late Uttamchand and Durga Devi Khanna.

Bimla moved to the United States in 1984. Since then she has provided a warm-hearted welcome to her children, grandchildren and many others over the years. She was a wonderful person who treated each and every person with a lot of love.

Bimla is survived by her loving children, Daughter Chanchal Goberdhan and her husband Ramsaran Ray, sons, Ravinder Malhotra and his wife Renu, Love Malhotra and his wife Monica, and Kush Malhotra and his wife Neelam and a daughter-in-law Ana Malhotra. Sister Kavita Kapoor and her husband Sudhir, brother Vijay Khanna and his wife Karuna. She is also survived by her 14 cherished grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren.

Besides her parents Bimla was predeceased by her beloved husband Dharm Vir Malhotra and their son Inder Paul Malhotra, along with several sisters and her brother.

Family and friends may call at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. A traditional Hindu funeral ceremony will begin Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 10:00AM at the funeral home.
