Obituary: Caroline R. Wilson, 94; Formerly Of Stamford
She had a career in teaching and taught for more than 42 years for the Stamford Board of Education, retiring from their high school.
HAMDEN, CT — (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home): Caroline R. Wilson, 94, of Hamden, passed away Feb. 27, 2024. Born in Stamford, CT on Nov. 5, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Yamilkoski) Ranek.
Caroline was predeceased by her husband David Wilson. She is survived by her sister Margaret A. Owen of Guilford, CT; nieces Pamela Owen and Shelia Owen; and her nephew Peter Owen.
A resident of Stamford for most of her life, she had resided in Hamden for the past six years. Caroline was a graduate of Central Conn. State College.

She had a career in teaching. She taught at Norwich Free Academy and over 42 years for the Stamford Board of Education, retiring from their High School.
Caroline and her husband enjoyed to travel, having visited places in Europe and Australia. She was an active volunteer at the Danbury Railroad Museum and was an avid UCONN Huskies Basketball Fan.
