Charles Eugene Bailey, 85, resident of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Known to his friends and family as Gene, and also “White Tower”. He was born on January 8, 1939 in Henderson, NC to the late Charlie and Mary (Boyd) Bailey.

Preceding him in death are his sisters: Grace Bennett, Madie Richardson, and brothers: Robert Thomas Bailey, Clarence Bailey, and Plummer Carl Bailey.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his partner, Carol McKoy, two daughters: Shannon Bailey, Shayna Bailey, a stepdaughter Nichelle Dixon, one grandson Donte Bailey, two sisters: Elsie (Bailey) Grady of Goldsboro NC, and Emma (Bailey) Crawford of Summerville SC, four brothers: Frank Bailey (Emma) of Edenton NC, Otis E. Bailey (Sylvia) of Centreville VA, Leo M. Bailey(Yvonne) of Nyack NY, Joseph Bailey (Roz) of Raleigh NC, two sisters-in-law: Bridget Gray Bailey(Plummer) and Eve Bailey(Pete) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He attended school in Drewry and Henderson NC. He was employed at White Tower, Stamford Hospital and Bloomingdales located in Stamford, CT.
