When he wasn’t working, Gene could usually be found at one of three places – Cove Island Marina, cruising the waters of Long Island Sound on his boat, or at ‘The Garage” – a special place that hosted countless gatherings over the years, most of which were unscheduled and full of laughter and friendship. Many problems were discussed - usually, though, none were solved.

An accomplished fisherman and formerly a recreational lobsterman, Gene was a reliable resource for all things boat and water-related. He was also a member of the Stamford Shellfish Commission. Gene’s circle of friends is a testament to him as a person; if you needed help with anything, no one was more ready to help than Gene.
