Obituary: Evangelos Manesiotis, 88, Of Stamford

Evangelos Manesiotis, 88, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 30, 2023 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Agoriani, Greece on January 17, 1935 to the late Christos and Garifalia Arvanitis Manesiotis.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Amalia Garoufalis Manesiotis, his loving children, Christos Manesiotis, Theodoros Manesiotis and Garifalia Uva and her husband P.J, as well as his sister, Georgia Tsiolis. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Philip Joseph Uva III, Evangelos Michael Uva and Claudia Sophia Uva.

Besides his parents, Evangelos was also predeceased by his brothers, George, John and Panagiotis Manesiotis.

A funeral service will be celebrated at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Avenue, Stamford on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM ,with visitation from 10:00- 11:00 AM prior to service. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien.
