Obituary: Frederic Rickinson, 92, Of Stamford

Mr. Frederic Rickinson died on February 26, 2023 at home in Stamford. He was 92.
Mr. Rickinson was born in 1930 in Darlington, County Durham, UK as the third of the four children of Charles Frederic and Susannah Ethel Rickinson.

Mr. Rickinson graduated from Teesside University in Middlesbrough, UK, with a degree in electrical engineering. In UK he was employed by Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) and Monsanto. In 1967 he joined Chemtex International located in New York City, and moved to USA. During his long employment with Chemtex International, he was chief engineer of the electrical and Instrumentation department. His international work in the development of synthetic fibers presented him with the opportunity to travel extensively and conduct business in countries like the Bahamas, Taiwan, South Korea, India, the Philippines, Romania, Japan, Singapore, and others. Upon retirement in 2003, Mr. Rickinson became involved in community work and joined the Board of Directors of the condominium complex. During his tenure of over 10 years, he initiated and supervised upgrades and improvements of the communal life within the complex. In addition, he was an avid golfer and a talented bagpipes player.

Mr. Rickinson is survived by family and friends, who will forever hold in their hearts his wonderful personality, intelligence, wit, honesty, kindness and love.
