Fred had a very precise and analytical mind and gave great attention to detail in everything he did. These attributes served him well at Todd Combustion in Stamford for over thirty years where he was employed in various capacities from Design Drafting Manager, Project and Sales Engineer, and Sales Manager for the US and Latin America. Fred loved to tell stories of his travels for work and the different cultures he experienced while abroad. After Fred partially retired, he worked as an independent insurance agent.
He was well respected for his skills and character at work and in the community, particularly the Spanish community. Fred was a fluent Spanish speaker and was learning Portuguese. Fred was always willing to help friends and family and donated his time as a Warden at his church. He held memberships in the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, NAACP, Greater Bridgeport Latino Networking Group and a host of other professional and social affiliations.

Fred loved the arts. He loved to draw, play the piano and bongos, sing on the street corner in his younger days, dance, particularly Salsa, and all types of music, his favorite being Jazz and Aretha Franklin. Fred also loved basketball and was thrilled to attend his first live NBA New York Knicks game on February 2, 2016. Fred was an excellent cook and loved to host family and friends, particularly during the holidays.
Fred may be best known for his ability to turn a quick chat into an hours long conversation. There wasn’t a problem that Fred couldn’t find a creative solution for. He took great pride in his work, but always found the time to take great care of those he loved. Fred poured his best efforts and energy into every aspect of his life.
