Obituary: Gloria 'Chickie' Marie Romeo, 82, Formerly Of Stamford

Gloria's greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Gloria “Chickie” Marie Romeo, 82, of Norwalk, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on January 16, 2024 at Norwalk Hospital. Formerly of Stamford, CT she was the wife of the late Joseph Romeo Sr. She was also predeceased by her parents Alphonse & Marie (Vescio) Rich.

She was the owner-operator of Oceanview Concessions of Fairfield County Connecticut for 45 years meeting and making many cherished friendships.

She enjoyed taking church trips with New Horizons at St. Matthew Church, as well as being creative through painting and ceramics. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Joseph Romeo Jr. (Donny Uselmann), Rory Romeo (Laura Romeo), Michele Romeo, Rodney Romeo (Frances Romeo) and her loving sister Jacqui Vescio. She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren; Dominick, Renee, Michael, Taylor, Cross, Christine and Rebecca as well as her six cherished great-grandchildren; Kaylee, Harley, Olivia, Marley, Cooper, Bella and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends and family on Friday, Jan 19, from 4-8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 AM on Saturday, Jan 20 at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk, with entombment to follow at St. John Cemetery.
