Obituary: James Devaney Jr., 79, Of Stamford

James (Skip) H. Devaney, Jr. a lifetime resident of Stamford, CT passed on March 10, 2022, peacefully at home.

James was born December 20, 1942 in Stamford, CT. He was predeceased by his parents Margaret & James Devaney, Sr. and his brother-in-law Gary Peterson. He worked in sales while employed by O’Brien Lithography in Bridgeport, CT for over 30 years. James (Skip) was an avid boater who enjoyed spending his summers out on his boat with his wife and friends. He also loved traveling and spending time with his family.

James is survived by JoAnne Devaney his wife of 60 years, daughter Yvette Scaturchio and her husband Frank of Stamford, CT; his son, Rick Devaney and his wife Karen from Alexandria, Virginia; three grandchildren, Nicole Scaturchio, Chris Devaney and Matt Devaney. Two Sisters Jackie Peterson from Kent, Connecticut and Michelle Skowron and her husband Steve from Charlton, MA and many nieces and nephews.

All funeral services will be held privately.
