Obituary: Jean S. Lalor, 83, Of Stamford

Jean Lalor (nee Sabia), a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was 83 years old.

Jean was born on October 2, 1940, in Stamford, CT; the daughter of the late William and Catherine Sabia.

Jean had a strong personality and left an indelible impression on everyone she met. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, music, and shopping; as well as her dedicated Catholic faith.

Jean was top student, graduating from Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford, CT in 1958.

Jean married the love of her life, Tod Lalor on November 28, 1959.

Jean worked various administrative roles in Stamford, including St. Leo Parish, Waldenbooks, and The Stamford Advocate.

Calling hours will be on December 1, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Entombment will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
