Obituary: L. Edward 'Eddie' Aubrey Sr., 86, Of Stamford

Eddie had a great love for his family. Everyone he encountered always felt welcomed.

L. Edward (Eddie) Aubrey,86, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10th at Stamford Hospital surrounded by his family.

He is predeceased by his parents, Arthur Fulton Aubrey and Francis Prelle, his wife Louise Gallace Aubrey, brother Arthur Walter Aubrey, sister-in-law, May Sharpe Aubrey, son-in- law, Louis Powell, Sr. as well as his nephew Andrew Walter Aubrey.

He is survived by his children Donna Powell of Norwalk, CT., Suzanne Rivera (Fred)of Stamford, CT., David (Marisol) of Trumbull, CT., and Eddie Jr. of Stamford, CT. His grandchildren: Louis (Shantae), Peter(Cece), Alena (Don), Julia (Anthony) and Tristan. His great grandchildren: Nathan, Bryson, Hailey and A'Nova. Along with many beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He had a great love for his family. Everyone he encountered always felt welcomed. He organized many camping trips, was an avid Boy Scout leader, very involved with St. John's Episcopal church for many years. His quick wit and unique style choices will be greatly missed.

Mr Aubrey worked and retired as Branch manager for State National Bank as well The State of Connecticut as a Child Support officer. He was a proud graduate of Bryant College, Smithfield RI.

Funeral Services will be held at Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home on 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Thursday, March 14th with visitation hours from 11am -1:00 pm, with a prayer service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. The burial will immediately follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, 230 Oaklawn Ave., Stamford, CT.
