Obituary: Lucia Cucco, 94, Of Stamford

Lucia Cucco, age 94, of Stamford passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital on November 16th, 2023. Lucia was born on March 11th, 1929 in Settefrati, Italy to parents Cesidio Macari and Giancinta Vitti. She was predeceased by her husband Antonio Cucco in 1977.

Lucia is survived by her loving son, Sergio Cucco, and daughter, Cathy Lukac and son-in-law Antonio Ferrajina. Lucia is also survived by her grandchildren: Maria with husband (David Alves), Nicolle with husband (Sam Coppola), Joyce Curry, Melisha Curry, Jerry Curry (with wife Susy Morales) and many other grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Domenica Conetta and her beloved children, Pasquale Cucco, Teresa Ferrajina and Maria Curry.

Lucia was a strong, loving woman who enjoyed cooking for her family and passing the time with stories of the past and a glass of red wine. Her love and spirit will live forever in our hearts.

Family will be received on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday November 22, 2023 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Burial will immediately follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien, CT.
