Obituary: Mary 'Maureen' C. Mullarkey, 76, Of Stamford

Maureen spent countless hours volunteering with the elderly and less fortunate.

Maureen Mullarkey, originally of Drumrielly, County Leitrim, Ireland passed away peacefully in her sleep at her Stamford, Connecticut home on July 30, 2022 and went to her eternal home in heaven.

Maureen was born on May 15, 1946 to the late Thomas and Bridget Fee of Country Leitrim, Ireland. She immigrated first to London, England and then to Stamford in 1978 where she spent over 35 years as a realtor.

She is an active parishioner of St Gabriel’s Catholic Church, a longtime member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and has spent countless hours volunteering with the elderly and less fortunate.

She is survived by her daughter Tara Mullarkey of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, her son Andrew Mullarkey, two grandsons Sean Patrick and Ryan Andrew Mullarkey, all of Stamford, three sisters & their husbands Eileen & John Joe Brennan of Stuart, Florida, Phyllis & Kevin Doonan of Stamford, and Vera & Liam Costello of County Kildare, Ireland, two brothers Peter & Ann Fee of London, U.K. and Mattie & Monica Fee of County Leitrim, Ireland, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her infant twin brother Sean and former husband Andy Mullarkey.

Calling hours will be held at Thomas M Gallagher Funeral Home on 104 Myrtle Ave, Stamford, CT (203)-359-9999 from 3pm to 7pm on Friday, August 5, 2022. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 6 at 10:30am at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church 1184 Newfield Ave Stamford, CT.
