Obituary: Michael J. DeLeo, 55, Of Stamford

Michael J. DeLeo, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital on September 19, 2023, with his family at his side. He was born on April 1, 1968, and is one of three children born to Joseph and Sandra (Chicatell) DeLeo, Jr. Michael was 55 years old at the time of his passing.

Michael J. DeLeo, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital on September 19, 2023, with his family at his side. He was born on April 1, 1968, and is one of three children born to Joseph and Sandra (Chicatell) DeLeo, Jr. Michael was 55 years old at the time of his passing.

In addition to his parents, Joe and Sandra, Michael is survived by his siblings, JD DeLeo, of Naples, FL and Kelley DeLeo of Stamford; his aunts, Barbara Robinson of Bluffton, SC and Pat Wade and husband Michael of Chester, NJ; nephew and niece, Zakary and Arianna DeLeo of Naples, FL; and many cousins, extended family and close friends. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Joseph F. DeLeo, Sr. and Jean (Johnston) DeLeo, Dante and Madeline (Frate) Chicatell; aunt Laurie Jan DeLeo, uncle, Robert DeLeo; and cousin, Ronnie DeLeo.

Friends and family may offer their sympathy to the family on the morning of Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT 06902. A mass of Christian burial will immediately follow the hour of visitation at 10:00 AM at St. John Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien, CT 06820. The inurnment will follow mass at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
