Obituary: Nicholas Robert Rossi, 85, Of Stamford

On Monday morning, February 5, Nicholas Robert Rossi passed peacefully at his home in Stamford, Connecticut. Just two weeks before turning 86 years old.

Nick was a resident in Stamford. Born on February 18, 1938, in Port Chester, NY, he was an only child of Marguerite Rossi and Nicholas Patrick Rossi.

After completing his duty in the military from July 11, 1956 – June 22, 1959, Nick entered Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. After graduating with a degree in Master of Science, he started teaching in public schools in Greenwich, CT. Later, he worked in security at Arnold Bakery in Greenwich, CT.

He was a practitioner at Shinnyo-en Buddhist temple since 2011. He completed the Shinnyo Buddhism Dharma School program and was appointed Vinaya Master according to the ranks of Buddhist ministry. Many times, he served as MC for the Buddhist services at the temple in White Plains, NY. Every person that knows Nick loved his sincerity as well as his sense of humor. His spiritual talks were stunning. He made an impact on many lives. He will be forever missed. Until we meet again.
