Obituary: Patricia Ann Balding, 78

Patricia Ann Balding, 78, died on October 29, 2022 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Stamford, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Telesco) Candito, she was the beloved wife of Brian Balding for 58 years. She was also predeceased by her brother Joseph Candito. Patricia graduated from Stamford High School and worked in the produce dept. for Finast and Stop & Shop Supermarkets for 42 years. She balanced her love of Westerns, horses and John Wayne, with occasional trips to the casino, and loved her grandchildren, nieces and nephews greatly.

Patricia is survived by her daughter Ann Marie Bassett and husband Albe, grandchildren Scott Bassett and wife Sharon and Stephanie Bassett and fiancé Octavio, and great granddaughter Brooklyn Bassett, as well as her sister Grace Cook of FL, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov 1 from 4 to 8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. Her Funeral Services will be held on Wed, Nov 2, at 12:45 PM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. memorial donations may be made to S.T.A.R.- Lighting the Way, 182 Wolfpit Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851 (Starct.org).
