Obituary: Peter Jan Olive, 88, Of Stamford

Peter J. Olive of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully on February 25th. He was born on September 6, 1936, in Bandung, Indonesia. He was the youngest of 3 children to John and Anna Olive. His family moved to The Haque, Netherlands in 1946. He then went on serve in the Dutch Military in his late teens. He moved to the United States at 19 to attend the University of Arizona at Phoenix. From there he moved to Oklahoma City where he started his career in Finance with General Electric in 1959. After that he was transferred to New York City, and then Stamford, CT, where he met his future wife and started his family. Peter enjoyed the simpler things in life. You could always find him watching the news or boxing, reading a book, or enjoying a cigar on the deck with a gin martini.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, and his sister Amy. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 53 years, Anne (née Brede), as well as his son Raymond (Dorene), and daughter Christina (Frank), his sister Mary (Robbert), and his four grandchildren, Logan, Frankie, Olivia, and Matthew.
