Obituary: Raul Enrique Sabillon, 87, Longtime Stamford Resident

Raul Enrique Sabillon, age 87, passed away peacefully on April 14th, 2024, at Stamford Hospital.

He was born on March 24th 1937 in Honduras, Central America to Enrique Sabillon and Isabel Rivera.

He was a proud resident of Stamford, Connecticut for over 44 years, and was a loyal and respected employee of IBM for over 35 years spanning locations from Honduras, to New York City, and lastly Connecticut.

Upon retiring he took great pleasure in volunteering at local churches in different capacities including serving as a Lector, and teaching adult classes in basic computer skills.

Raul leaves behind his loving wife of over 65 years (Olga Sabillon), his son (Jose Sabillon), and his beloved grandchildren (Alexandria Sabillon) and (Nicholas Sabillon).

Raul was predeceased by both his parents and brother (Leonel Sabillon).

At a very young age he found a real passion for sports, he enjoyed playing baseball and soccer, when he stopped playing he was fond of coaching his sons sports teams.

Raul was always good for a laugh and enjoyed it more so with family and friends.

He will be remembered by those who truly knew him for always being there for them through there ups and downs, and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer.

The funeral service will be held at St. Benedicts Church located at 1 St. Benedicts Circle, Stamford. CT on April 17th, 2024 at 10:00 am, with burial immediately following at St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave, Darien. Ct. 06820. There will be no calling hours.
