Obituary: Rose L. Calomino, 95, Of Stamford
Rose was very talented and creative and enjoyed sewing and making clothing.

Rose Calomino, 95, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully on January 4, at Stamford Hospital.
Rose was born on January 23, 1927, in Stamford, the daughter of the late Michael and Victoria Calomino. Rose is survived by her sister Dolores Berger and sister-in-law Marcia Calomino and is predeceased by her other siblings and their spouses: Ida Magnifico and her husband John, Frank Calomino and his wife Catherine, Ann Judice and her husband Frank, and Michael Calomino II. Rose is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews and their children.

Rose worked in various positions throughout her career in financial services, publishing, and hospitality. She enjoyed gardening, including nurturing many beautiful flowers especially various types of roses. Rose was very talented and creative and enjoyed sewing and making clothing. Rose lived her last years at Sunrise Senior Living Center on Turn of River Road in Stamford, where she endeared herself to the staff with her spunk.
Calling hours will be held at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday, January 10, from 9-10 am. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford CT. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien, CT.
