The COVID-19 pandemic has upended the lives of millions of Americans. The disruption of daily routines, coupled with the threat of contracting and spreading the virus, is leading many people to experience stress and anxiety. But for people with existing mental health conditions, and their loved ones, this public health emergency is especially troublesome.

Social contact is often a key element of support and treatment. Social distancing and self-isolation are preventing many people from attending regular therapy sessions and outpatient visits for evaluations and prescriptions.

NAMI Southwest CT, the affiliate to the National Alliance on Mental Illness covering lower Fairfield County, is acutely aware of the significant challenges that people with mental health conditions and their loved ones are facing. To meet the increased demands of our community, NAMI Southwest CT is offering FREE ONLINE SUPPORT GROUPS via Zoom for family members, friends, and primary caregivers of adults and children with mental health conditions and emotional issues.
