Patch Replay: A Hole-y Rodeo in Stamford

Shake, rattle and roll.

That’s apparently what Stamford motorists are hearing and feeling as they drive along city streets. And they’re letting city officials know exactly where all that noise is happening.

Since the city opened its pothole hotline last month, service requests reportedly have tripled.

The Citizens’ Service Bureau has received 1,330 reports of potholes in Stamford streets and city crews have filled more more than half of the reported holes, according to The Advocate.

Frank Fedeli, supervisor of the service bureau, told The Advocate that the number of reports is misleading because residents are “reporting two, three, four, five potholes at a particular location.”

Regardless of the number, crews are using special equipment to fill the holes before asphalt plants reopen for the season.

Residents can report pot holes though the MyStamford mobile app or by calling Fedeli’s office at 203-977-4140.
