Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Hit And Run With SUV: Stamford PD
Police said they were able to identify the vehicle involved in the collision as well as a possible driver.

STAMFORD, CT — A 57-year-old Stamford man was seriously injured in a hit and run collision with a vehicle on Sunday morning near the 400 block of West Main Street, according to the Stamford Police Department.
A 2008 Lexus SUV was traveling westbound on West Main Street at approximately 7 a.m. when it struck the pedestrian and fled the scene, police said in a news release. The pedestrian was taken to Stamford Hospital and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
Through "multiple investigative techniques," patrol division officers were able to identify the vehicle involved as well as a possible driver, police said. A search warrant was executed on the vehicle by the SPD's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad (CARS) and it was brought to police headquarters for processing.

"The suspected operator, a 43 year-old Stamford resident was interviewed and invoked his right to counsel and refused to speak with police officers," police said.
