Pedestrian Struck, Killed On I-95 In Stamford: State Police
Police said a pedestrian was hit by a truck on I-95 Sunday night.
STAMFORD, CT — The Connecticut State Police said a pedestrian was struck by a truck and killed while trying to cross Interstate-95 in Stamford on Sunday night.
Police said the pedestrian's next of kin will be notified once the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner makes an identification.
State police responded to I-95 northbound in the area of exit 8 in Stamford at approximately 8:45 p.m., for a pedestrian who was walking on the highway, police said in an accident information summary.

Five minutes later, the pedestrian was crossing I-95 onto the northbound side when they were hit by a truck that was traveling in the right lane, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Stamford Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
