ID Released Of Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Stamford

UPDATE: Police have identified a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Stamford.

STAMFORD, CT — Police have identified a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car Wednesday night in Stamford as Nancy Flores, 61, of Stratford. According to Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, Flores was crossing Washington Boulevard around 9:15 p.m. when a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta traveling east on Tresser Boulevard struck her at the intersection of both streets.

Booth said she was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was a 23-year-old Stamford resident, who stayed at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation, Booth said.
