Petition to Reject New Canaan Tower in Stamford

On April 17 at 7:00pm, the Stamford Zoning Board will meet to either accept or reject New Canaan's proposal to erect an eighty-five foot tower on Stamford property. New Canaan claims they can find no suitable area within their own town for this tower, which is needed to support their outdated emergency communications equipment. New Canaan has failed to spend or budget for an upgrade to their communications system in the past 5 years, unlike Stamford. Thus, the tower they are requesting has no benefit to Stamford. It will, however, depress property values in our town and create an eyesore along the shores of the North Stamford reservoir.

Sign the petition on change.org if you want to encourage our city officials to say "no" to a change in our zoning laws to accommodate a New Canaan Tower.
