Instant Replay 11, Sound View Engineering 0 – June 13

Jay Lockwood pitched a run-rule shortened no-hitter, fanning nine over four innings, as Instant Replay defeated Sound View Engineering 11-0 on June 13. Jaden Dawkins (three RBI, double) and David Collazo (two RBI) both homered for IR while Tyler Tuccinardi added two hits and three RBI.

Carpentry Unlimited 11, Boot Camp 6 – June 13
Joe Johnson pitched (5.1 innings, nine Ks) and hit (three-run homer) Carpentry Unlimited to an 11-6 victory over Boot Camp on June 13. Alex Lanzillotti also had a homer and four RBI to pace the Carpentry offense aided by R.J. Salvatore (two hits), Wyatt Lisack and Danny Maloney.
Chris Seitaridis and Billy Saunders had two doubles each for Boot Camp, which received offensive help from Aidan Hamilton. Brian Smith also had a hit to go with a fine pitching performance.
Clairol 11, Unity Construction 1 – June 13
Calvin McKeever had a two-run homer and pitched three shutout innings as Clairol downed Unity Construction 11-1 in a run-rule shortened game on June 13. Connor Robb plated three runs on two hits (double) and made several nice plays at first base for Clairol. Mark Lovishuk drove in the game-ending run.
Jackson Uhl had two hits, including a solo homer, and pitched three solid innings (five Ks) for Unity. Peter Passaro made an excellent catch in right to save a run.
MAJORS - Semi-final Playoffs
RMS Construction 12, Clairol 3 – June 16
Todd Guttman smacked a three-run homer, drove in five, and tossed four scoreless innings (eight Ks) as RMS Construction beat Clairol 12-3 on June 16. Justin Palmer had a pair of hits, and Roderick Olsen, Andrew Patashnik and Avery Mui had RBI for RMS.
Mike Iorfino drove in two runs for Clairol with a double. Calvin McKeever allowed no earned runs while fanning nine in 4.1 innings on the hill. Pitcher Connor Robb closed out the game in fine fashion, and Joshua Harper had a hit.
Instant Replay 10, Carpentry Unlimited 1 – June 16
David Collazo tossed a one-hitter with a dozen strikeouts as Instant Replay dropped Carpentry Unlimited 10-1 on June 16. Collazo also homered among three hits while Jaden Dawkins and Tyler Tuccinardi (two RBI) each had a pair of hits for IR. Joe Mallozzi and Connor Sullivan each drove in two runs while Matt Jester, Brandon Velez and Lucas Giantomidis added singles to the attack.
Joe Johnson’s solo homer provided Carpentry’s only hit and run. Patrick Teasdale struck out six in three innings and Jack Hoch struck out three. Dan Maloney and Levi Lisack reached base for Carpentry.
JR. MAJORS/AAA – Playoffs
Vinny’s Backyard 12, Buffalo Wild Wings 2 – June 9
Nick Seitaridis hit and pitched his way to victory as Vinny’s Backyard beat Buffalo Wild Wings 12-2 in the first round of the playoffs on June 9. Seitaridis pitched three no-hit innings and clubbed three hits (four RBI) to lead the offense. Matt Lasko (three RBI), Dhruv Rokkam (two hits, two RBI) and Vrishak Duriseti (two hits) added to the attack.
Andrew Carroll, Bruce Rutherford, Kai Rossetti and Jonathan Iacovacci all collected hits for the Wings.
First County Bank 11, Ahneman Kirby 1 – June 13
First County Bank had their hitting shoes on from the beginning, as 10 of 11 kids had at least one base hit.
Steven Chase’s three RBI, including a two-run homer, highlighted a First County Bank’s offensive barrage as it downed Ahneman Kirby in a first-round playoff game, 11-1, on June 13. Stephen Wong (two hits, double), Tim Wong and C.J. DeMarco each drove in two runs while Nicholas Cannon hammered two doubles.
Sean Jones had two hits and the lone RBI for Ahneman Kirby.
Vinny’s Backyard 10, Haggerty Pools 0 – June 13
Vishnu Duriseti struck out nine batters in 3.2 innings to lead Vinny’s Backyard to a 10-0 run-rule shortened play-off affair against Haggerty Pools on June 13. Vrishak Duriseti blasted a three-run HR and Matt Lasko and Connor Hoch had two hits each. Nick Seitaridis had a two-RBI double.
Zach Voros had two hits for Haggerty while Ryan Lash had a hit and Joe Colon had a double and pitched well.
Ahneman Kirby 15, Instant Reply AAA 9 – June 13
James Blanche (triple) and Chris Gentle each drove in three runs to led Ahneman Kirby to a 15-9 win over Instant Reply AAA in the second round of AAA/Jr. Majors playoffs on June 13. Oliver Anderes (two doubles), Logan O’Neill and Harrison Mirkin each had two RBI and Nicholas Childs added one. Mirkin also fanned five batters in two inning pitching.
James Raidt (double) plated five runners for IR while Michael Maounis, Cody Baker, Bailey Gendason and Logan Bruno drove in a run each. Raidt whiffed four in 1.1 innings on the work.
Haggerty Pool 6, Ahneman Kirby 5 – June 14
Owen Perry and Zachary Voros teamed up for four hits and two RBI to lead Haggerty Pool 6-5 over Ahneman Kirby on June 14. Joseph Colon also drove in two and tossed two innings of shutout ball (four Ks).
Oliver Anderes racked up two RBI on two hits for Ahneman Kirby. Matthew Fleming and Billy Parker each collected an RBI.
