Police ID Stamford Woman Killed in Homicide
Her husband who she is separated from is a person of interest.

STAMFORD, CT—Police have identified the woman killed in a homicide as Dionicia Bautista-Cano, 24, a third-floor resident of 388 Courtland Avenue.
Bautista-Cano and person-of-interest Elmer Gomez Ruono, 32, have a child in common and married in 2008, but are separated, according to NBC Connecticut. She is a Guatemalan national and moved from New Jersey to Stamford over the weekend.
Their 5-year-old child was found wandering alone at a Port Authority Bus Terminal Monday morning.

Elmer Gomez Ruano is wanted for questioning of the homicide. The death appears to have involved a domestic incident, but police haven't said how the victim was killed.
Stamford Police went to a Courtland Avenue apartment after being notified by police that a 5-year-old girl found alone at the Midtown Bus terminal in New York City around 10:12 a.m. Monday. The girl told police her mother lives in Stamford.

"They called us and asked us to follow up on that," said Capt. Richard Conklin, police spokesman. "Officers were sent there and located the child’s mother deceased."
