Jackson, who has several prior gun convictions, was given a court-set bond of $100,000, but he was remanded to custody by his probation officer, Conklin said.

The Stamford Police Department's Narcotics & Organized Crime Squad launched an investigation into Jackson several weeks ago after receiving information he was trafficking drugs and had a handgun, Conklin said.

On Feb. 15 at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers raided Jackson's Perry Street apartment and executed a search warrant.

In Jackson's bedroom, officers found a Glock 9 mm handgun with 17 rounds of ammunition, Conklin said, noting that the gun was reported stolen out of Georgia.

Officers also recovered 14 MDMA pills, commonly referred to as ecstasy or molly, and a quarter kilo, or .55 pounds, of crack and powder cocaine inside a safe — most of which was packaged for sale, Conklin said. Jackson also had $1,392 in cash in the apartment.

Conklin praised the department's Narcotics & Organized Crime Squad and the Patrol Division for the investigation and arrest.
