Popular Stamford Restaurant Marks 20 Years In Business With New Menu, Website And Catering Plans

STAMFORD, CT — Shiki Hibachi & Sushi, a family-owned Japanese restaurant in Stamford, is marking 20 years in business with a redesigned website, a new menu and plans for continued community involvement.

"Twenty years is an incredible milestone, and we're grateful to everyone who has supported our family throughout this journey," said restaurant co-owner Allen Chen. "This new website, our expanded catering services, and our continued commitment to the Stamford community are all part of the next chapter. We're excited to create new partnerships and continue serving generations of families who have made Shiki part of their traditions."

Chen and Sam Lu took over the family restaurant in 2008, two years after it opened its doors. Shiki Hibachi & Sushi is located at 493 Hope St.

The restaurant recently joined the Stamford Chamber of Commerce.

This fall, Shiki plans to launch a catering division offering hibachi, sushi and Japanese cuisine for corporate events, private celebrations, schools, nonprofit organizations and community gatherings throughout Fairfield County.

The restaurant said it is also planning new partnerships to support local student-athletes, schools and community organizations.

Shiki will hold a ribbon-cutting celebration Wednesday, Sept. 16, in partnership with the Stamford Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor’s Office.
