Rally for Refugees & Immigrants

In response to the latest Executive Order on Immigration the International Institute of Connecticut (IICONN) along with refugee and immigration advocates, direct service agencies, interfaith clergy, and elected officials are coming together to honor and demonstrate our continued support for immigrants and refugees that have resettled in the greater Bridgeport area.

The Stand with Refugees & Immigrants Rally will take place at 3:00pm on Sunday, March12 at the Bessemeer Center Social Hall, 2200 North Avenue, Bridgeport.

Speakers include Senator Richard Blumenthal, Reverend Anthony Bennett, Imam Nasif Muhammad, and Rabbi Evan Schultz. There will also be music and poetry.

We stand together in unity with immigrants and refugees in Greater Bridgeport, affirming our commitment that we are a welcoming community that embraces our nation’s cherished values of inclusion, equality and diversity.

IICONN has been settling refugees in Connecticut for 99 years.
