Report: Man Assaults Ex-Wife After She Tells Him He's Too Drunk to Drive
The couple argued over his wanting to drive their daughter to a fireworks show.
A Stamford man is facing a variety of charges including one for assault following an argument with his ex-wife who reportedly told him he was too drunk to drive their daughter to a fireworks show.
Police were called to the apartment house where the couple lives after their daughter was seen running in the street yelling for help on July 2, according to The Advocate.
The man is accused of assaulting his ex-wife during the confrontation and preventing her from calling 9-1-1 for help. He is charged with risk of injury to a minor, disorderly conduct, unlawful restraint, interfering with a 911 call and violation of a protection order.
