Road Closures Announced For Upcoming St. Patrick's Day Parade In Stamford

The parade is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., with road closures starting earlier in the day, according to police.

STAMFORD, CT — Several downtown Stamford streets will be temporarily closed Saturday, March 7, to accommodate the city’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, according to a notice from Stamford police.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., with road closures starting earlier in the day. Police said drivers should plan ahead and follow posted signage, noting that towing enforcement will begin at 11 a.m. unless otherwise indicated by signs.

The following streets are scheduled to be closed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.:

  • Bedford Street, from Hoyt Street to Broad Street
  • North Street, from Prospect Street to Summer Street
  • Walton Place, from Prospect Street to Bedford Street
  • Spring Street, from Summer Street to Bedford Street
  • Forest Street, from Greyrock Place to Bedford Street (access to Bedford Street garage only)

Closures planned from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.:

  • Broad Street, from Greyrock Place to Franklin Street

Closures planned from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.:

  • Atlantic Street, from Broad Street to Tresser Boulevard
  • Main Street, from Atlantic Street to Washington Boulevard
  • Lower Summer Street, from Broad Street to Main Street

  • Clark Street, from Main Street to the entrance of the Bell Street Garage
  • West Park Place, from Main Street to Washington Boulevard

Officials urged motorists and residents to plan accordingly, noting that closure times may vary by location based on posted signage.
