Save on playing baseball with Stamford North Little League

Kids who live or attend school in Springdale or North Stamford save $25 off spring registration fee by signing up through Feb 23.

Children, ages 4 to 12, who live or attend school in North Stamford or Springdale can now register to play baseball with Stamford North Little League in spring 2019. An early-bird discount of $25 applies through Feb 23.

Boys and girls can register online now at the league website or in person Feb. 13, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the Turn of River Fire Department, 268 Turn of River Road, Stamford. In-person registration for new players requires a parent or guardian to provide the child’s birth certificate and three forms of proof of residency (driver’s license, utility bill, etc.) or proof of attending a league-area school (most recent report card). Payment by check required. Online registration of new players will require documents be scanned and emailed; payment can be by credit card.

Registration fees run from $85 to $220, depending on player’s age and level of play. Sibling discounts, and need-based scholarships available.

League eligibility
Children are eligible to play in Stamford North Little League if they were born on or between Sept. 1, 2006, to August 31, 2015, and either:

  • Live within the league’s city boundary: generally north of the Merritt Parkway, or east of Newfield Avenue and north of Fairland Street/Toms Road)
  • Attend a school in that area including: Northeast, Springdale or Toquam elementary schools; Scofield or Dolan middle schools; Bi-Cultural, Long Ridge and Mead schools.

Player evaluations
Player evaluations for new players ages 9 to 12 (AAA and Majors) and returning players who were not on a Majors team in 2018 has been tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 2, at Dolan Middle School, 51 Toms Road.

Player evaluations for new players ages 7 to 8 (AA) has been tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 30, at Stamford High School’s main gym, 55 Strawberry Hill Road.
