Oaklawn Avenue Has Reopened In Stamford: Belltown Volunteer FD
A portion of the road was closed for several hours after a car hit a utility pole.

STAMFORD, CT — Oaklawn Avenue has reopened, according to the Belltown Volunteer Fire Department.
A portion of the road from Pepper Ridge to Newfield Avenue was closed since Sunday evening due to a downed utility pole.

Oaklawn Avenue from Pepper Ridge to Newfield Avenue remains closed Monday morning following a downed utility pole, according to the Stamford Police Department.

The Belltown Volunteer Fire Department first announced the closure on Sunday night shortly after 8:30 p.m. and said a car crashed into the pole, but there are no further details on the accident.
Power was out for several customers in the area Sunday night. As of Monday morning, there were no outages reported in Stamford according to the Eversource outage map.
