Several Roads To Close This Weekend In Stamford

STAMFORD, CT — According to Mayor David Martin's weekly newsletter, several roads will be closed on Sunday, Aug. 22 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The roads are:

• Main Street between Atlantic and Washington
• West Park Place
• Bank Street
• Lower Summer Street will be closed to thru-traffic. There will be officers to let people down the road going to the hotel or West Park garage. All traffic going down lower Summer will have to run right onto Summer Place.

Martin also said that the Stamford Transportation, Traffic, & Parking Department has begun safety improvements at the intersection of Glenbrook and Scofield. Work will continue over the next week, weather depending.

Additionally, the state will begin paving High Ridge Road shortly. All work will be conducted overnight and is predicted to continue until early-mid September, weather depending.
