Shots Fired On Liberty Street Under Investigation: Stamford PD

Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 58/60 Liberty St. on Tuesday.

STAMFORD, CT—The Stamford Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired which occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4.

At 2:59 p.m., officers responded to the area of 58/60 Liberty St. on numerous reports of gunshots, Capt. Richard Conklin said on Wednesday. A scene was set-up, and several casings from two separate guns were recovered. Security footage from the neighborhood was also pulled, which is being reviewed.

"It looks like there was one group of 3-4 males which appeared to be engaging one single male, and shots were exchanged. Luckily no one was hit," Conklin said.
