Shots Fired, Vehicles Hit By Gunfire In Stamford: Police
Police said they are investigating reports of shots fired over the weekend, during which four vehicles and a house were hit by gunfire.

STAMFORD, CT — Police said they are investigating reports of shots fired in the area of Clinton Avenue in Stamford, during which four vehicles were hit by gunfire.
According to Capt. Richard Conklin, police initially received a report Sunday around 1 a.m. Officers responded to the area at that time but did not find anything, Conklin said. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Police received another call around 8 a.m. from a Clinton Avenue resident, who reported finding bullet holes in their car, Conklin said. Officers returned to the area and found three additional vehicles that had been hit by gunfire, Conklin said.

Later in the day, another resident reported a house in that area had been struck by gunfire, Conklin said. Neighbors reported hearing about seven gunshots in total, according to Conklin.
"We don't have the motive [yet]," Conklin said to Patch. "We checked [area] hospitals, and nobody presented themselves at the hospitals with any gunshot wounds."

No injuries were reported. Police are reviewing security video footage of the area to see if they can determine anything about the incident, Conklin said.
"It's still very much an ongoing investigation," Conklin said.
The captain said about seven shell casings were found on the street, however he was unable to say what kind of gun they appeared to be from.
