Shots Fired, Vehicles Hit By Gunfire: Stamford Police
Stamford police said they recovered nearly a dozen shell casings in the area.

STAMFORD, CT — Three vehicles parked in Stamford were damaged by gunfire early Sunday morning, according to police.
Stamford police Capt. Richard Conklin said the damaged vehicles were discovered and reported to police around 8:30 a.m. The owners of the vehicles and neighbors in the area told officers they heard gunshots around 2:30 a.m. but did not contact police, Conklin said.
"We just thought that was a bit odd," Conklin said, "that people heard a series of gunshots and didn't report it."

"We're still working on it," Conklin said. "We're a little behind because we didn't get the report until about 8:30 [a.m.], but we're definitely investigating it and trying to [locate] some video footage."
He also noted there may have been a small gathering of people in the area around that time, but he was unsure if it had any impact on the incident.
