Sobriety Checkpoints Announced In Stamford: Details

All vehicles entering the checkpoint area are subject to being stopped, police said.

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department has announced it will be conducting two sobriety checkpoints this week.

The first is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, and the other for Saturday, March 28.

Both checkpoints will begin at 7 p.m. The following roadways are subject to being used for checkpoint locations, according to police:

  • Stillwater Avenue at Smith Street
  • Bedford Street at Sixth Street
  • East Main Street at Myrtle Avenue
  • Tresser Boulevard at Elm Street

Checkpoint locations will be posted with signs warning motorists upon their approach to the area, police said.

All vehicles entering the checkpoint area are subject to being stopped.
