SoundWaters Flotilla Set For Saturday In Stamford

The event will raise funds for a clean and healthy Long Island Sound.

STAMFORD, CT — Nearly 150 kayakers and paddleboarders of all ages—including Darien First Selectman Monica McNally — will take to the Long Island Sound on Saturday, July 15, to participate in the annual SoundWaters Flotilla.

The four-mile route, designed for paddlers of all skill levels, launches from Stamford’s Cove Island, goes around Shippan Point, and ends up at the Cohen SoundWaters Harbor Center in Boccuzzi Park where there will be a post-event celebration.

The event, which is scheduled to begin Saturday at 8:30 a.m., will raise funds for a clean and healthy Long Island Sound.
