Special Visitor for MALS Surgery Patients

Surprise visitor for MALS patients at Stamford Health

On Friday, December 13th, the Stamford Health team came together with Possibilities Farm LLC and the Miracle family to surprise 3 MALS surgery patients with a special visitor to the hospital, a mini horse! Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome, or MALS, is an uncommon and under-diagnosed disease that often causes chronic pain in the upper part of the abdomen. Stamford Health has treated patients from over 40 states, and even Canada and Australia, for this rare disease.
