SPEF 5K Walk And Run Returns To Mill River Park

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF) recently announced its annual 5K walk and run will take place on Oct. 6 at Mill River Park in Stamford.

The event aims to bring together participants of all ages and fitness levels to raise funds that support educational programs and initiatives benefiting Stamford public schools. Whether participants are seasoned runners or families looking to enjoy a fun day out, the SPEF 5K promises to be an inspiring occasion for everyone.

For those 12 and under, there will be the SPEFy Fun Run, a mile-long course that is sure to include a few fun activities along the way.

Afterward, there will be a family-friendly FallFest, featuring interactive, hands-on activities for kids, SPEF’s Books Across Stamford book giveaway, tasty fall treats, and more.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with the race starting at 9 a.m. Those who can't join in person can participate in a virtual 5K and run from anywhere at their own pace and on their own course.
